Happy showed up in Brindol on a dark and stormy night, wrapped in a dirty blanket and placed on the doorstep of the town’s apothecary. The baby half-orc’s cries were pathetic enough to move the dwarf to compassion, and he raised the dim-witted beast as his son. That was nearly two decades ago, and more recently, Happy has been showing signs of cabin fever, cooped up in such a small town with nothing to do.

After assisting in the rescue party to save various Brindolmen from some hobgoblins, one of which was his adoptive father, it was clear to Happy that it was time for him to go out into the world and see what there was to see. Along the way, and despite it all, the half-orc has retained his childish nature, always wanting to play even at the most inconvenient time. So far, due to the nature of Happy’s playing, this has presented minimal problems for his adventuring companions when it is time to fight.

Recently, word of Happy’s deeds has spread far and wide, making the young half-orc rather infamous. From the decapitation of an ogre with a single sweep of his mighty axe, to riding a dragon bare-back, virtually everyone has heard the name of Happy. His reputation, thus far, hasn’t gotten him into too much trouble, but as the stories of Happy’s actions continue to spread, things are bound to get interesting.
